Introduction to PROMDRIVER

MQP's famous driver package has always been ahead of the field in terms of power and ease of use. It is now available in a unified version for Windows 95 / 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP. The same application controls both the universal Pin-Master 48, and the production gang programmer System 2000. (It also functions as demonstration software in the absence of a programmer)

Among the special features of PROMDRIVER are automated serial number programming and automatic batch counting. The popular production language available on the MSDOS version is in preparation for imminent inclusion in the Windows version.

The MSDOS version is also still available.

TYPE SELECTION

A special feature of the software is its excellent Type Selection function.

Simply type all or part of the device name; all matching devices are shown in a scrolling window. Highlight your exact choice and click on OK to select it. A separate window alongside gives you full details about the device type, size and algorithm.

You can narrow down the devices displayed by specifying manufacturer and/or device category (e.g. Serial EEPROMs only). Clicking on the View Device Note button gives any important information about the device in the form of Device Notes.

Serial Numbering

An especially powerful feature of PROMDRIVER is its ability to automatically program serial numbers in a variety of formats into devices being programmed. In the case of our gang programmers the serial numbers are added intelligently so that no gaps appear in the numbering system in the case of programming failures.

FILE EDITING

Integrated with the PROMDRIVER software is a full object and logic file editing capability. Files are safe from accidental alteration, as editing is only possible when the Enable Edit box is checked. Files up to 4 Gbytes may be edited.

With its comprehensive range of editing facilities there is almost no file or data manipulation operation that this utility is not capable of performing.

Automated Part Counting

During a production programming operation PROMDRIVER automatically displays a running count of the good and bad programmed parts. A single 'Repeat' button on the report screen starts the next programming operation.
