Over
the years the Model 200 has given good
reliable service to thousands of our customers,
many of whom do not need the wider device
coverage of our Universal Programmer,
Pin-Master 48.
The
software for the Model 200 is DOS-based
and until recently, this has not been
a problem. However, more and more customers
are finding that as they upgrade their
PC operating systems, many DOS programs
no longer work, particularly those using
serial or parallel ports.
To
assist these customers we have developed
a version of our Windows based software
'PROMDRIVER' to work with the Model 200,
under any Windows environment from Windows
95 onwards. This includes the NT, 2000,
and XP versions of Windows. The software
has many new features, including integrated
file editing.
To
use this new package you need to obtain
a Registration Code from us. Please ask
us, or your distributor, for the price.
To
use the Windows version your model 200
must be a 200A, 200B, or 200C variant
(not the original 200). It must also be
equipped with a parallel interface. A
parallel interface also gives a considerable
speed improvement.
If
you have a serial version it can be converted
using the Parallel Option Kit (includes
lead) which is available at a special
price if purchased together with the software
registration.
